Will
Medicare pay for my stay while at Hale Ola Kino?
A major misnomer of the Medicare program is that every beneficiary
will use their entire entitlement of 100 days of Medicare coverage.
Medicare coverage is determined by several different variables all
of which need to be in order to ensure a continued Medicare covered
stay.
Hale Ola Kino’s most typical Medicare covered stays are directly
related to a physician’s certification that the resident is
need of skilled rehabilitative services (ie. Physical, Occupational
and/or Speech Therapy) following a post-hospital stay of at least
three consecutive midnights. The length of the Medicare covered
stay is then based upon the resident’s ability to participate
and realize consistent gains or improvement directly resulting from
the skilled rehabilitation that is being delivered.
Hale Ola Kino’s average Medicare covered stay is typically
30-50 days.
