Staff Development Manager (Salary Management Position)

The Staff Development Coordinator is a licensed nurse who performs an integral role in the nursing department.  Under the leadership of the Director of Nursing, the Staff Development Coordinator will plan and develop educational programs to improve quality of care for the residents at Hale Ola Kino and assist with various departments.  This individual will work closely in a team environment to help coordinate, identify and proactively meet educational needs of employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • RN currently licensed in the State of Hawaii.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Infection Control Preventionist Certification preferred or ability to obtain

 

Certified Nurse Aide (Full-Time/Part-Time and On-Call -ALL SHIFTS)

The Certified Nurse Aide assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • CNA registered in the State of Hawaii.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English, using proper speech and grammar.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding, patience, tack and courtesy in dealing with residents, family, visitors, and/or co-workers.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and follow instructions carefully.
  • Physical demands require mobility about the unit with direct resident care involving standing, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, twisting, and reaching.

 

Registered Nurse (Part-Time/On-Call)

The Registered Nurse is a charge nurse who is responsible for the overall nursing care on his/her shift.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • RN currently licensed in the State of Hawaii.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English, using proper speech and grammar.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding, patience, tack and courtesy in dealing with residents, family, visitors, and/or co-workers.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and follow instructions carefully.
  • Physical demands require mobility about the unit with direct resident care involving standing, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
Housekeeper (On-Call)

The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of the community, including business offices and common areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  • Physical demands require moderate to heavy physical effort 80% of the work day with the ability to stop and work from kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching, and be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 35lbs.
Licensed Practical Nurse (part-time/on-call)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, monthly summaries, and documentation, including completing daily skin assessments, while ensuring the highest quality of resident care at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • LPN currently licensed in the State of Hawaii.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English, using proper speech and grammar.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding, patience, tack and courtesy in dealing with residents, family, visitors, and/or co-workers.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and follow instructions carefully.
  • Physical demands require mobility about the unit with direct resident care involving standing, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, twisting, and reaching
