Business Office Manager

Job Type: Full-time

We are currently in search of a Business Office Manager (BOM) to join our team. This position is an independent, detail-oriented, multi-faceted position to assume the roles of accounting manager, office management and procurement management in a 32-bed skilled nursing community. You would be a key member of the community’s management team adhering to the mission, vision, values of the company including following the hospitality promises.

Your role is to perform a wide range of functions such as AR, AP, billing, collections, supply procurement, office management and payroll (in the absence of HR) in an office of one. You will support the overall operation and efficiency of the business office, working closely with the Administrator, Resident Responsible Parties, fellow community managers and corporate business office staff. A successful BOM should have experience with a variety of office software (email tools, spreadsheets and databases) and be able to accurately handle administrative duties to ensure a smooth running of the day-to-day operation.


The successful candidate must have 2-3 years proven work experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and Medicare/Medicaid billing.

High school diploma (or equivalent) required.

Associate’s Degree in accounting or business or equivalent work experience preferred.


Organized and detail oriented a must.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) a must.

Healthcare experience preferred.

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail with proven problem-solving skills.

While the position is typically Monday-Friday, some evening and weekend hours may be required.

Registered Nurse (On-Call)

The Registered Nurse is a charge nurse who is responsible for the overall nursing care on his/her shift. They will also be responsible for administering medications to our residents as needed.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt / Hourly

Qualifications and Skills

  • RN currently licensed in the State of Hawaii
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Geriatric/rehabilitative experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient with use of computers, to include Microsoft Word/Excel


Certified Nurse Aide (On-Call)

The Certified Nurse Aide assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living. All job functions are performed with customer service and hospitality as the overall goal, to both our residents and co-workers, alike.

Job Type: On-Call

FLSA Status: Non-exempt / Hourly

Shifts Available:

  • Day / Evening / Night

Minimum Qualifications:

  • CNA currently licensed in the State of Hawaii.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • At least 1 year working experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting, preferred.
General Maintenance (Part-Time, Day-Time)

The General Maintenance is responsible for maintaining Hale Ola Kino’s community and equipment in a safe and efficient manner including adherence to current applicable Federal, State and Local requirements.  To be responsible for preventative maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, community equipment and basic plumbing repairs.  All job functions are performed with ensuring the well-being, comfort, safety and security of the residents and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

·High school graduate or G.E.D. diploma.

·Must possess a valid current Hawaii driver’s license and be able to drive to places like Home Depot to get needed parts/supplies.

·Additional trade or vocational school training is highly desirable. Minimal computer skills necessary.

·One year plant/residential/apartment maintenance required, or enrollment in a vocational trade school can be substituted for six months of actual on the job.

·Requires the use of good judgment to follow procedures. Routine duties involve many various procedures.

The Wellness Assistant is a hands-on position responsible for assisting the Wellness Director in performing various activities with the residents, as well as performing various duties such as computer work, Internet research, etc.  All job functions are performed with ensuring the well-being, comfort, safety and security of the residents and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 6 months’ of work experience. Additional study and/or experience in geriatric health related subjects recommended.  Experience working with physically and cognitively-impaired older adults or background in therapeutic recreational activities are highly desirable.
